Bentonville, Arkansas is a city located in the northwest corner of the state. It has a rich history that dates to the early 1800s when the first settlers arrived in the area. This essay will provide a brief history of Bentonville, Arkansas, from its early beginnings to the present day. In the early 1800s, the Osage tribe inhabited the land that is now Bentonville. The first settlers to the area were Thomas and James McSpadden, who arrived in 1837. The town was officially established in 1837 and named after Senator Thomas Hart Benton.

The early 1900s saw the establishment of several important businesses in Bentonville, including the Benton County Abstract Company and the Bentonville Telephone Company.
